I was chosen by NeuroClastic, an autism advocacy non-profit, to participate as one of ten autistic artists in a community project they led. Each artist was paired with an autistic person who submitted a superhero persona bio to the project, and we worked with our partner to visually bring their idea to life. After the project was completed, NeuroClastic hosted a webinar exploring X-Men as a parable for nerodivergence.
This is the concept art I drew based on ideas from Genesiz, my partner in this project. I used them as the reference, and based the outfit off our discussions about the costume. For context, the cane on their back would be extendable could be used for mobility aid or defense.
Once the concept was approved by Genesiz, I drew the final piece in Procreate on my iPad.
